The Porsche 911 Speedster is now ready for its official debut. As already happened in the past for the famous car manufacturer, the special series of celebrations of the 911 often arrive when the following generations have already been presented, turning into real collectible “instant classic”. So we can say that this new incredible car model is ready for the collectors. We have already seen the Porsche 911 Speedster as a concept and the model series is now visible practically without veils in these spy photos (below): the Porsche 911 Speedster, based on the Porsche 991, is accompanied by a 992 Cabriolet model. Everything is as expected: bumpers and rims, as well as the mechanics, derive from the GT3, while the windshield, crystals and the roof compartment are new elements, given that the height of the front glass has been significantly reduced. In the images you can also see the active rear spoiler in the open position, you can also see the adhesive tape applied on the side, near the headrests, where the Speedster logo is provided. At the moment, there are only 1,948 copies of this car model. The car, whose debut date has not yet been unveiled, will be produced in 1,948 pieces as a tribute to the 70-year history of the Porsche brand. The aspirated 4.0-liter boxer 4.0 is combined with the manual transmission, but we do not know if the automatic Pdk will be included among the options. Great space will instead be reserved for customization with the new Heritage Design Packages, which will mention the great models of the past.
