What are the Mercedes’s plans for now? There is not for now an heir of the Mercedes SLC, the spider known until 2016 with the name SLK that was among the first with the folding roof: it debuted in 1996 and since then they have been achieved two more generations. The spiders, however, sell less and less all over the world and that is why Mercedes decided not to carry on the project. To confirm the “end” of this discovery comes the special version Mercedes SLC Final Edition, an installation in dealerships from March 2019 with the particularity of the yellow Sun, inspired by the bright yellow of the first Mercedes SLK. Alternatively, more sober colors can be ordered, such as black, gray and white. The Mercedes SLC Final Edition included 18-inch wheels with glossy black details, oversized brakes, sport suspension (the ground clearance is less than 1 cm) and the AMG’s fascia with contrasting trim depending on the chosen color: ordering the black and gray for the bodywork you have silver details, while choosing the yellow and the white the finishes become black. Inside there are black and silver leather upholstery, gray safety belts and carbon fiber inserts on the dashboard, while on the headrests and on the gear lever there is the SLC emblem. The engines are the 4-cylinder petrol 1.6 and 2.0 versions SLC 180, SLC 200 and SLC 300: the 1.6 has 156, the 2.0 respectively 184 and 245 hp.
