Mercedes Benz A-Class: the A160 and the A180 models are coming
Two new versions equipped with the 1.3 petrol turbo engine enrich the range of the Mercedes A
New engines on these two new versions:
Up to now in the petrol versions A200, A250 and A180 diesel, the compact Mercedes A-Class sedan will now be available with two new supercharged petrol engines: the 109 bhp 1.3 from the A 160 and the 1.3 from 136 CV of the A 180. This is the same 1.3 already planned on the A200, internally known with the design code M282, which in this case has a slightly lower displacement (1,326 cc) compared to the 1,332 cc of the A 200. The M282 engine has been weakened compared to the 163 hp of the A200 and is combined with the 6-speed manual transmission or the 7G-DCT double clutch robot: the Mercedes A160 is provided only with the manual, while the A180 is provided with the manual or the automatic (there is a little difference in the price). The German company speaks of a top speed of 200 km/h for the Mercedes A Class 160 and 216 km/h for the A 180, lower in both cases compared to 225 km/h of the Mercedes Benz A200, as lower is also the pair, which is 180 Nm on the A 160, 200 on the A 180 and 260 on the A 200. The A160 and A180 comply with the anti-pollution legislation Euro 6d-Temp and according to the German company travel on average 18.2 kilometers with a liter of petrol, a better figure than the 16.1 km / l of the A 200. The new engines bring down the entry price, which now starts from 26.680 euros for the A 160 and 28.200 euros for the A 180. The A 200 starts at 30.029 euros. Even if there is less sprint in these new two car models, they are mainly excellent for the design, the comfort and the starting price. This last aspect, makes them accessible to everyone and they are vehicles you can use everyday.
