The limited supercar inspired by Chinese fashion
Recently, McLaren presented at the Beijing Motor Show an exclusive special series of five copies of the 570GT realized thanks to a collaboration between the MSO department and the Chinese fashion designer Cabbeen. This new extraordinary McLaren’s model was born therefore combining the Asian taste with the quality of production of the English brand.
This new model is black and gold with Chinese embroidery craft. The body is painted in the special color MSO Bespoke Obsidian Black with hand-painted golden dragons on the sides. The special 570GT alloy rims and brake calipers waving the Bespoke Gloss Speedline Gold’s tint. The theme of the golden dragon returns to the interior with an embroidery in the rear area dedicated to luggage: the particular embroidery was made by the specialist Kang Huifang, the Director of the Professional Embroidery Committee of China’s Arts and Crafts Institute, who preserves and passes on the Chinese art Chao.
The mechanics of the Cabbeen Collection remained unchanged: the 570GT offers the 570 hp version of the 3.8 biturbo V8 and the specific trim adjustments aimed at enhancing the balance between performance and comfort of this set-up, embellished by the exclusive rear luggage compartment 220 liters.
“The McLaren 570GT is the most luxurious and refined Sports Series model, providing long-distance comfort and increased versatility while retaining a thrilling driving experience. Subtly visually different to the 570S Coupé, its classic GT lines sweep down into a side-opening rear glass hatch to provide an additional 220 litres of storage on the leather-lined touring deck, as well as an instantly recognisable visual identity. Chassis settings deliver the additional comfort expected from a car developed for touring, but the 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine ensures the 570 GT has the exhilarating performance expected of a McLaren Sports Series model.” According to Motor1
