The Audi R8 V10 Plus Competition Package arrives in the USA
For the American market, Audi has produced a special series of just 10 copies of the R8 V10 Plus Competition Package. The car fills a gap in the R8 price list, where a previous heir of the previous GT has been absent for some time, offering a fitting prepared by the Audi Sport department with accessories from the Performance line already available individually. In the United States the car will be offered at 237.350 dollars, excluding taxes, and will be available from November.
The Competition Package does not include any modifications to the 610 bhp V10 5.2 power unit, but the set of accessories provides a slight reduction in weight and a 100 kg increase in downforce at top speed, bringing the total value to 250 kg. In fact, new front and rear aerodynamic carbon fiber appendages are provided, combined with the black finishes of the external grilles, the 20 “matte black alloy rims inspired by the R8 GT4 and the adjustable three-way trim. Dynamic Steering and a special titanium friction material for the Performance braking system. The only color expected for the body is Suzuka Gray.
The interior reflects the sporty spirit of this Audi R8 and includes the black monocoque seats with red Audi Exclusive stitching, the paddles of the change of carbon fiber, the steering wheel covered in Alcantara and the leather upholstery of the dashboard and door panels. In addition to the standard infotainment, the Bang & Olufsen audio system with thirteen speakers is also included.
