The Land Rover Discovery lacked a flagship version equipped with a diesel engine. If until now this role was occupied by the V6 3.0 with 249 hp, now you can choose the V6 3.0 SDV6 that delivers 306 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The new unit includes an original intake system with dual intercoolers and eight-hole injectors, with which the efficiency of the engine shows a noticeable improvement. As for the performance, according to the house, the engine allows for a brilliant acceleration: the 0-100 km / h shift is completed in 7.5 seconds, also ensuring a remarkable ride comfort and a towing capacity of 3.500 kg.
Despite having its characteristic motif in the engine, for the Land Rover Discovery 3.0 SDV6 the English house has not neglected the technological equipment for driving assistance and safety. In addition to the most popular driving assistance systems, the equipment includes other useful devices. One is the Clear Exit Detection that helps passengers know if they can open the doors to get out of the car in safety, or if instead you have to wait because there are cars that arrive. Then there is the Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, which automates the driving in the column and helps the driver on the highway by adjusting the speed to that of the surrounding traffic thanks to the steering assistance device. So equipped the Land Rover Discovery with the 306 hp diesel is proposed at a base price of 58.900 euros.
