Ferrari, V8 Hybrid
The V8 hybrid is expected by the end of this year. Read the article below to find out more interesting news about it!
According to a report published by Automotive News Europe, Ferrari is preparing the launch of a new model with a central engine, which is coming this year. The new Maranello sports car, in the reconstruction of the warhead, would for the first time put together the V8 biturbo and an electric motor, for a high performance hybrid powertrain, capable of exceeding the specific power of 185 horsepower / liter of the 488 Pista. This new model, as we learn, will not be the extreme variant of another Ferrari, but one in its own right, destined to a life cycle on the market similar to that of the rest of the Maranello range. According to information in the possession of Quattroruote, however, Ferrari would be about to present – just at the Geneva Motor Show – a further model, in turn characterized by the layout with the engine behind the cockpit. This other car from the Cavallino, according to our sources, would be nothing more than the heir of the 488 GTB. And it should have the primogeniture on the new generation hybrid: a circumstance that seems confirmed by the timing reported by Automotive News in today’s rumors. It is not yet confirmed, but the heir of the Ferrari 488 -arriving at the beginning of March in Geneva- could also hold a baptism the great return of the V6 (derived, in a more performance, from the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio) in the range of the brand. How do these two apparently conflicting pieces of information fit together? Simple, going to refer to the new business plan presented last September by Ferrari, in which the splitting of the central motor offer was clearly expressed.
