Our New Car: Ferrari 812 Superfast

Last year, on April, Ferrari’s company launched a new dashing model at the Geneva Motor Show: the Ferrari 812 superfast.
This car ensured to be faster than the F12 model, thanks to its output boosted to 800 cv(60 more than the F12). But the 812 superfast’s model is not only faster than the F12, it is also 60kg lighter and for that reason it guarantees a significant performance. Other engine’s technical data : maximum power 588 KW (800cv), acceleration 2.9 sec (0-100 km/h), weight/power 1,9 Kg.

So, as is obvious, its V12 engine is-today-the most potent type (non-hybrid) ever built.
Furthermore, the Ferrari 812 superfast got a few tricks up its sleeve: beyond its V12 engine and seven-speed dual clutch gearbox manufactured by Getrag (based on the gearbox used in the Ferrari 458), there is an abundance of new amazing electronic employed to support it bend the space/time continuum.

Plus some ingenious aerodynamic elements:
At the front there is an electric power guide system with variable twist assistance. The front is designed to enhance downforce and covers intakes for front brake cooling, as well as ducts in order to raise underbody air flow. The bonnet with features channels moves air through to the side of the car for additional downforce. The rear diffuser of the Ferrari 812 Superfast has active lugs that can open up at high speeds to further reduce drag.

While, at the back,there is a new fantastic electronic four wheel-steering system that enhances stability everywhere.
In fact , “To make full use of that huge power and to guarantee perfect weight distribution, the car exploits a highly evolved transaxle architecture that couples a front-mounted engine with a rear-mounted transmission. It is also the first Ferrari equipped with EPS (Electric Power Steering).” Says the Ferrari’s company.
Beyond any doubt, the Ferrari 812 superfast is an incredible car to drive amongst the beautiful italian landscapes.
