The BMW X6 will be on the market next year
The third generation of the BMW X6 SUV Coupé will arrive in 2019 renewed in style and with a new mechanical base
The BMW X6 is the model that gave life to the category of SUV Coupé 11 years ago, the high ground cars with the most racy and tapered roof of normal SUVs. Since then, cars of similar size and price have arrived on the market, such as the Audi Q8 and Mercedes GLE Coupé, but we saw also more compact models such as the BMW X4 and Mercedes GLC Coupé. However, the BMW X6 remains the reference car in this category. It is therefore normal that there is a great expectation for the debut of the completely renewed model, expected in 2019, which in this period is carrying out the tests of development on the road “masked”. One thing is for sure: there is a continuity in the style.
The third generation of the BMW X6 seems to resume the new features seen on the new BMW X5, so the traditional front bezel will be wider and the hood will be “furrowed” by deep ribs. The lights will be LED, like the BMW X5, while the roof will continue to be sloping as on the first two editions with a hint of “tail” a little ‘more collected. The BMW X6 will be, as abovemtioned, on the market in 2019 and will be based on the CLAR modular platform, the same as the more modern and lightweight X5, shared with the latest BMWs (Series 7, 5, X3). The external length will almost certainly remain in the order of 490 cm. The engines will be the 3.0-liter 3.0-liter petrol and the six-cylinder 3.0-liter 265-horsepower or 400-horsepower diesel, but you should not miss a hybrid and the powerful V8 of the bad BMW X6 M.
