BMW shows teasers of the new X7 model
BMW has released new teasers of the new X7 model during the road tests, once again covered with protective films. The debut date has not yet been confirmed for the unpublished Suv of Monaco, however, it is expected by the end of the year. The X7 will be produced in the American factory in Spartanburg alongside the other ELC SUVs.
The X7 opens up a new market niche for the BMW already dominated by the competition. The luxurious seven-seater is not an elongated X5, but a dedicated project, which incorporates the setting of the 7 Series, probably including the range of powertrain, to offer maximum comfort and luxury in the style typical of the German House.
You can see how impressive is the exterior design for this new amazing SUV: the front is impressive with the double kidney particularly developed in height, while the upright and the rear window are more vertical than other BMW models to promote habitability even in the third row of seats . The length will certainly exceed 5 meters total with a step of about 3 meters.
There are many new features on this model, starting from a break style that will inaugurate the new brand identity of the luxury models of the brand, distinguished by more tense and clean lines, a huge chrome mask with a double kidney joined by a single metal frame, not to mention technology and interior space. The first pre-production samples will be used to carry out the last stages of the pre-homologation tests, which will be carried out in every corner of the planet, from the boiling desert in the Death Valley to the ice of Scandinavia.
The camouflages try to hide the prototype design (which is already definitive), but you can still appreciate the shape of the huge headlights (LED adaptive with high beam LASER) and numerous details, such as the frame that incorporates the two double exhausts or the chrome grille. The differences compared to the X7 iPerformance Concept will be minimal. Inside, a new center console will inaugurate the new styling course of the BMWs, which will welcome a clean styled dashboard, with fewer physical buttons, a new gear lever and a rotor for selecting commands on the iDrive.
