Alfa Romeo presents the Giulia Sport Edition, a limited series that will be available starting from 47,000 Euros on the Italian market. The sedan is offered in the versions equipped with the 2.0, 200-hp turbocharger and 2.2, 180-hp diesel engines and for both models is provided the only option of the eight-speed automatic transmission: the standard equipment. The kit is made up of Giulia Veloce aesthetic kit with increased air intakes and diffuser, the black frames of the crystals, the double sports exhaust, the internal Sport Pack with aluminum inserts, the fractionable rear sofa, the paddle of the steering wheel of aluminum and the Alfa Connect Nav infotainment with 6.5-inch display complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Among its peculiarities stand out the electro-hydraulic system of actuating MultiAir valves, the “2-in-1” supercharging system and direct injection with a 200 bar high pressure system. This translates into a particularly quick response to the throttle controls and a remarkable efficiency in consumption. Also in aluminum is the 2.2 Diesel, which is characterized by the injection system of the latest generation MultiJet II with Injection Rate Shaping (IRS) and operating pressures of 2,000 bar. The variable-geometry turbocharger with electrical actuation represents the state of the art of mechanics and minimizes response times while ensuring efficiency benefits. The most refined levels of comfort and driving experience are also guaranteed by the use of the balancing countershaft.
The principal task of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Sport Edition will be to boost sales of the sedan in our country by aiming at a very rich endowment, which is close to that of the Giulia Veloce, the version that connects the sedan range with the Quadrifoglio, with a really interesting price.
